چکیده

Abstract Aim Undoubtedly, the use of meshes has dramatically reduced recurrence rates following primary inguinal hernia repair; however, recurrences still occur with an incidence ranging from 0.5 to more than 20%, depending upon various factors that include and patient characteristics, applied surgical technique mesh surgeon's experience. The repair a recurrent sets challenge for surgeon prevent not only new recurrence, but also other complications. becomes even bigger in cases re-recurrent hernias. aim this study is present our early experience application robotic system Material Methods From January December 2022, five male patients hernias (two two previous repairs, one three four repairs) were operated Center using Da Vinci X. In all TAPP was performed extra-large (measuring 12×17cm) heavy-weight polypropylene implanted. Results All discharged hospital on first post-operative day. Their postoperative course been uneventful, without any evidence or late complications, including recurrence. Conclusion Robotic-assisted safe feasible. advantages specifically, magnified three-dimensional view field, as well increased maneuverability instruments permit efficient treatment demanding subtype

Background: Preliminary studies have indicated advantages of mesh fixation using fibrin glue in TAPP compared with tack fixation. Objectives: We report the results of a prospective experience in fixing mesh during TAPP with absorbable tacks. Patients and Methods: 50 consecutive men (who had bilateral inguinal hernia) were enrolled and followed up for at least 1 year. The primary measured outcom...
